The Southport Associates gathered on Monday, December 12th. 2011 to celebrate Foundation Day and the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe. We met in St. John Stone's Church at Ainsdale for a morning of prayer in support of the sanctity of life both in the womb and thereafter. This was the second time we held these devotions and they were well attended both by Associates and others.

The image of our Lady was displayed as at her Shrine in Mexico before Mass started. After Mass, the rosary was recited followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. Canon Shaw explained the significance of the 16th century apparition, where our Lady appeared as pregnant with Jesus and hence the point of our morning of prayer. We concluded with the Chaplet of Divine Mercy followed by Benediction.

The morning concluded with a Seasonal Comfortable Cup of Tea and refreshments in the Parish Community Centre
