Prayer to Mary
our Mother of Mercy
for Peace

O Mary, Mother of Mercy,
we remember the first sign
your Son gave at Cana in Galilee,
in answer to your prayer.
And so now in our time of need,
in our troubled world,
when human life is so disrespected,
and when so many people have no notion of God,
or their need for Him,
we turn to you and ask you to say
to your Son, Jesus, for us
"they have no peace".
Then help us to do what he tells us:
"Love one another as I have loved you"
that He may give us the peace we need and so desire.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The prayer may be adapted easily to suit your own intentions
by changing the word "peace" to any other need you may have,
or someone else's need:
eg. "he has no faith ..."
"he has no hope..."
"they have no food..."
