The National Commission is glad to say that the Petition requesting our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI to Beatify our Venerable Catherine McAuley has been handed over to Archbishop Vincent Nichols to pass on to the Pope during his visit to England, Scotland and Wales.
We are grateful to all the Associate groups and Sisters who took the trouble to respond to the request for signatures, an account of favours received through the intercession of Catherine and ministries of the Associates and Sisters. All the material is professionally bound in three volumes.
Receipt of the Petition by the Pope has since been acknowledged by the Vatican. Read the Vatican Letter (To return to this page, please click the back button on your computer.)
