The Process of declaring someone a Saint, is long and often arduous.
There are three stages: The Person is declared "Venerable" - then "Blessed" - then "Saint".
Catherine McAuley was declared "Venerable" on April 9th. 1990.
The process to have her proclaimed "Blessed" then began
and is described in the pages that follow below.
